Chapter 52 is pleased to host a course in competition aerobatics judging and appreciation at the Greenwood Lake Airport (4N1) in West Milford, New Jersey on Saturday and Sunday March 1st and 2nd (formerly February 23rd and 24th).
We offer the two day course for $100. Previously certified judges may attend the recurrency portion on Sunday for $60. The cost of attendance includes morning coffee, lunch, and afternoon tea both days.
Enroll in the course by sending a note to Doug Lovell doug@wbreeze.com. Indicate whether you will attend the two day course or the Sunday recurrency course.
Registration will open at 8am on Saturday morning. Class will begin at 9am both Saturday and Sunday.
We will meet in the conference room upstairs. The stairs are outdoors, opposite the entrance to the cafe and FBO, right under the Constellation.
Thanks to Wagner Air and Greenwood Lake Airport for providing their excellent meeting and conference facility for the school.
Overnight accomodations are available from hotels about twenty-five minutes from the airport:
The Blue Skies Cafe at Greenwood Lake Airport, just downstairs from the classroom, opens at 7:30am for breakfast.
Join us for dinner on Saturday evening at the Memento II Italian restaurant in West Milford, about three and a half miles from the airport.
These directions from Google Maps get you from the hotels, to the Greenwood Lake Airport
The two-day course presents basic concepts of aerobatic judging.
Upon completion of this course you will be qualified to volunteer as an assistant judge at any IAC competition, and will have completed one requirement towards becoming an IAC Regional Judge. See the IAC 52 Contest List for a list of 2008 Northeast region contest dates.
Previously certified judges fulfill recurrency requirements for attending a Judges Seminar (as defined in IAC Rule 2.6.3) by attending the second day of the two day course.
Students may download and print the IAC rule book (244 pages) if they did not order a preprinted book.
