Ray and Lois Rose to receive the
Kathy Jaffe Volunteer Award
Ray and Lois Rose, (Ray pictured on
the left) have been named the first recipients of the IAC
Kathy Jaffe Volunteer Award. The award will be presented
to them at the Kathy Jaffe Award Dinner on Saturday,
March 17th, 2001 at the Saddle Brook Marriott.
Ray and Lois are perhaps the most
known and familiar faces on the northeast competition
circuit. They have been involved in aerobatics for many
years and you can bet that they will be at your next
contest. Ray and Lois have been committed to bringing the
best judging and administration to aerobatic contests.
Their dedication and spirit is unprecedented. It's hard
to find any two people that give more to the sport of
aerobatics. This year, Ray has expanded his involvement
with the election to the IAC Board of Directors as the
Director for the Northeast Region.
The Kathy Jaffe Volunteer Award was
created by members of Chapter 52 in memory of Kathleen
Jaffe. Her spirit and enthusiasm for aerobatics and the
aerobatic community were truly remarkable. The purpose of
this award is to recognize the outstanding volunteer
work. We are proud and pleased to award Ray and Lois Rose
with the Kathy Jaffe Volunteer Award for all the time and
work they have so generously donated.
