Spin training

Bill will thoroghly cover what to look at and what to look for so you will know just what to do when you fly. Since people will have various backgrounds, each participant will have the opportunity to "veto" any particular spin or maneuver that he or she deems that they would elect not to do; however, every person will be encouraged to "expand" their envelope of flying. Spins Bill will cover include, but not be limited to:

  • upright spins
  • acclerated spins
  • flat spins
  • inverted spins
  • inverted flat spins
  • crossover spins
Additionally, Bill will explain his emergency recovery technique and you will have an opportunity to "first hand" experience it.

Chapter 52 strongly endorses spin training for all aerobatic pilots. It is essential. Please do not miss this opportunity to work with one of the finest instructors in the country. Non-aerobatic pilots may benefit as well.

Bill became seriously a student of aerobatics in 1981 with the purchase of his first Pitts, an S1S. Then up to a "T" model in 1986. Winner of the Intermediate category at Fond du lac in both 1989 and 1990 along with twice winning the coveted Pitts Trophy he moved up to Advanced where he continues to compete presently.
